BECOME A CONSULTANT

Why ICG?

Illinois Consulting Group offers members hands-on industry experience, extensive leadership opportunities, and continuous professional development opportunities. We work across a variety of industries with a range of client types, from student-led startups to international corporations, providing our consultants with uniquely challenging problems to tackle. Most importantly, our members are a diverse group with vastly different educational backgrounds and a common passion for problem solving, creating an environment of constant development and advancement.

Fielding between 5-10 clients per semester, ICG affords consultants the opportunity to work with a new client each semester based on their own interest levels in available projects. Working with different clients and providing various consulting services enables our consultants to gain a unique perspective through extensive industry experience.

One of our primary goals is to provide the training and experience to help our consultants progress from team members to team leaders. High quality work and continued participation in subsequent semesters gives members a tremendous opportunity to continuously progress down our leadership track from staff consultant to senior consultant to project manager.

ICG offers an array of professional development and professional networking opportunities. We provide our consultants with two weeks of comprehensive training each semester and multiple case interview workshops throughout the year. We also hold private info sessions with professional consulting firms each year during recruiting season.
